STOP THE BLEED®

With 3 quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That’s why we want to train you how to STOP THE BLEED®. WHY LEARN?  A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:  What stops bleeding? In a STOP THE BLEED® course, you’ll learn three quick techniques to help save a life before someone bleeds out: (1) How to use your hands to apply pressure to a wound; (2) How to pack a wound to control bleeding; (3) How to correctly apply a tourniquet. These three techniques will empower you to assist in an emergency and potentially save a life.

PISTOL PROFICIENCY CLASSES:

A progression of semi automatic pistol classes from introduction through advanced skill levels.  Classes begin with detailed curriculum and hands on practice using LaserAmmo training pistols on LaserAmmo reactive targets; then move to the indoor range with .22 caliber Glocks.  The first 2 classes, 101 and 102, are taught with .22 caliber Glock 44s.  Students may bring their own pistols or borrow one of Parro’s semi automatic pistols in the 103 and 104 classes. Co-ed pistol classes are generally held on Monday nights from 5-8pm.

WOMEN’S PISTOL PROGRAM

A progression of semi automatic pistol classes for women, taught by women instructors.  Classes are small and begin in our modern classroom with detailed curriculum followed by practice using LaserAmmo training pistols on LaserAmmo reactive targets.  Class moves to the indoor range after it’s closed to the public to minimize noise and distraction. The first 2 classes, 101 and 102, are taught with .22 caliber Glock 44s.  Students may bring their own pistols or borrow one of Parro’s semi automatic pistols in the 103 and 104 classes.

PISTOL PROFICIENCY classes and WOMEN’S PISTOL classes follow the same progression of fundamental skills and students must complete each level safely to enroll in the next class.
