Service Description

With 3 quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. The number 1 cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That’s why we want to train you how to STOP THE BLEED®. WHY LEARN? A bleeding injury can happen anywhere. We've all seen it happen too often—on the news or in everyday life. Life-threatening bleeding can happen in people injured in serious accidents or disasters. Instead of being a witness, you can become an immediate responder because you know how to STOP THE BLEED®. STOP THE BLEED® Course Overview What You'll Learn: A. Direct Pressure Application: Understand how to effectively apply pressure using your hands to staunch bleeding from a wound. Learn the importance of maintaining firm and steady pressure to control bleeding. B. Wound Packing: Gain proficiency in packing a wound to effectively control bleeding. Learn techniques for inserting gauze or other materials into a wound to promote clotting and stop hemorrhaging. C. Tourniquet Application: Master the correct procedure for applying a tourniquet to stop severe bleeding from an extremity. Understand the proper positioning and tightness of the tourniquet to ensure effectiveness without causing further harm. Course Objectives: Empower participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to intervene confidently in emergency situations involving severe bleeding. Provide hands-on training in the application of direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet usage. Foster a sense of preparedness and readiness to assist in saving lives during critical moments. By mastering these three techniques, participants will be equipped to play a crucial role in stabilizing injured individuals and preventing potentially fatal outcomes due to uncontrolled bleeding.
